Musical Journey & Education

He began studying piano as a private student at the Conservatory of Alessandria, where he successfully passed the Theory and Solfeggio exam.

A chance encounter led him to participate in a workshop with Franco D’Andrea, sparking a deep fascination for the world of improvised music. He then pursued advanced training at the Centro Jazz di Torino, where he studied jazz piano and harmony under M° Aldo Rindone and with Barry Harris in Verona.

He further refined his skills by attending Advanced Jazz Music Courses under M° Giorgio Gaslini and later participated in Hammond organ workshops in Milan with Tony Monaco and Joey DeFrancesco.

Musical Experience & Projects

His musical activities span across various genres, including jazz, rhythm & blues, and commercial (cover bands), performing in small ensembles, big bands, and orchestras.

Some of his most significant experiences include:

  • Punto e a Capo (Verbania) – Jazz fusion band, performing at the Lago Maggiore Jazz Festival (2003).
  • Electric Blue (Novara) – Blues band, performing across Piedmont and Lombardy.
  • Novara Jazz Gang (1998-2000) – Hosted some of Italy’s most renowned jazz musicians.
  • Sweetie’s Blues Band – Performed alongside French singer Brigitte Peillet for Blue Flame Records in nord Italy and Swiss
  • Compagnia teatrale “Sognattori” (Novara) – Performed in the Billie Holiday tribute show, staged in theaters across Piedmont and at the International Street Theater Festival (Italy, August 2000).
  • Settantamidatanta – ‘70s disco cover band.
  • NOVIMA – Soul & R’n’B project.
  • Strani Dintorni – Cover band performing pre-disco sets at Le Rotonde di Garlasco.
  • Gabriel Delta Blues Festival Tour – Performed in summer festival tours with Argentine blues guitarist Gabriel Delta.
  • Lario Jazz Festival (2005) – Performed and worked as an arranger alongside Al Noiret.
  • Merano Pop/Symphony Orchestra, directed by Roberto Federico
